The country has seen a negligible increase in e-waste resizing by thousands of metric tonnes in the last two years. E-waste grows at a rate of 7% per year worldwide. The amount of an opportunity is increasing exponentially.

The disposal system, on the other hand, does not work. If e-waste is recycled, it will cost more than a billion dollars, or about 3 trillion rupees, not even the GDP of many countries! E-waste is also causing economic loss. If we take into account the share of plastics and metals in e-waste and calculate the price,

it would be worth around Rs 212 crore a year in the world! In the form of e-waste, India's metals worth about Rs 6,000 crore are wasted. The amount of metals that are wasted in e-waste is also very significant. 5 lakh tonnes of iron, 4,000 tonnes of copper, 1 lakh tonnes of aluminum, 21,000 tonnes of silver, 5,000 tonnes of gold are wasted in e-waste form.
