This file system follows some basic principles. Each file system has a root directory which is the beginning of the file system. Each directory of a file system has several oblets (files and directories) and each object within the directory has a unique name.
This means that the names of two objects can never be the same in any directory. However, two different directories may have two different objects with the same name. If you know the directory name of the object you want to use, it is enough to know the name of the object. Because that name is sure to be unique in that directory. Otherwise you have to create the complete path of that project.
That is, you start with the root directory, then look at the subdirectory and the subdirectory within it and continue this action until you find the unnext you want in a directory and finally find that object. Each of these parts is separated by a special character and that character cannot be used in any file or directory name. In this way, the entire file system has a unique identity.
A blank disk does not initially have a directory file system. A blank file system is initially built on disk using a process called formatting. If a disk with a previously formatted file system is formatted, the existing file system is destroyed and replaced with a new blank file system. Other types of disks, such as hard disks, may have multiple partitions.
Each of these partitions can be formatted to create a separate and independent file system. Formatting one partition has no effect on another partition. Provides operating system utilities for viewing, modifying, and formatting disks and their partitions. fa62 siulat Pazzu - Razu (File System of Linux Operating System): Uses several versions of Linux Extended File System (ext2, exts ext4).
