If the power supply is disrupted, the flow of electricity is maintained by turning on the diesel generator.  In addition, the tower does the job of converting the received messages in the right way to the right tower when the media is carrying the messages.  This process also requires energy.

If there is no signal in the emergency transmission, i.e. no message of any kind is sent, the tower does not need to be tilted in the right direction before it is received and the energy consumption is slightly reduced.  In addition, there is no need to supply energy in the event of a weak emergency media.

As per the report of the Department of Telecommunications of the Government of India for the year 2015, as of July, 2017, there are a total of 4,8 mobile towers in Gujarat and a total of 4,50,15 in India.  Its number is increasing year by year.  From this one can imagine how many mobile towers there will be in the whole world!

It is estimated that each mobile tower consumes fourteen liters of diesel per day.  There may be differences of opinion regarding electricity and diesel consumption figures but it is a matter of course.  Of course, some mobile towers will also be using solar energy.  In the light of these figures, it is up to the readers to calculate how much diesel mobile tower drinks each year.

Yes, the energy used by the mobile network in transmitting and delivering messages to the destination is not considered to be a systematic study of the energy required for a dormant network without a message.  This type of study may not have had the proper publicity, but one thing that emerges from our discussion today is that the lower the exchange of communications, the lower the energy consumption of mobile towers.  For communication we have to keep the mobile phone on and charge it from time to time.

There is also a lot of energy consumption.  Also valuable time is wasted.  It is said that we get nothing for free on this earth.  By sending unnecessary and bulk messages we are wasting our precious time and at the same time wasting precious energy.  Of course, mobile phones make up less than 1% of the country's total electricity consumption.

According to this, some people think that not sending messages does not save a lot of energy.  But if we cultivate the habit of energy conservation in every field, we will surely be able to 'fill the lake drop by drop' and keep our energy resources full for the next generation.  Yes, the mobile phone we are talking about here applies in one form or another to any type of e-messaging flowing on any social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.  Nothing - Chintan Bhatt 19 Vishwavihar - September 2021
