Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has been given additional charge of Madhya Pradesh Governor as Lalji Tandon is ill, according to a statement from Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday. Tandon, 85, has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lucknow since June 11. Importantly, Anandiben will now take charge as the Governor of Madhya Pradesh along with Uttar Pradesh.
Rashtrapati Bhavan has announced that the additional charge of Madhya Pradesh Governor has been handed over during the absence of Indian President Lalji Tandon. It may be mentioned that the condition of Admid Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow became critical 2 days ago. They were placed on elective ventilator support. Director Medanta Hospital Lucknow Rakesh Kapoor described the governor's health as "serious" and said he was suffering from liver problems and had undergone a city-guided procedure.
Importantly, Governor Lalji Tandon's Corona was also tested. His investigation report was negative. Let it be known that Lucknow was on a 10-day leave, but his health improved. He was then admitted to Medanta Hospital on the morning of June 11 with shortness of breath, urinary incontinence and fever.
